How to be invited to 2027 WPC Worlds Team Australia

We want to encourage our CAPO athletes to strive to compete at the biggest events around the world but still feel they are connected to CAPO.

CAPO Nationals are your pathway to the WPC World Championships which are held alternately between USA and the rest of the world.

2027 WPC Worlds will be held in Poland. Venue and dates to be confirmed.

Expressions of interest for the 2027 WPC Australian Team will be required before 30 June 2027 to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This is not a commitment, but ensures you are added to the group chat for the latest information about the event.

  • First place per age group / weight class / category at 2027 Nationals will have a place on the Team available for them on the team, BUT they need to confirm their intent to go within 7 days of Nationals.
  • The category entered at Nationals will be the category for the Worlds team. This means if you wish to compete Raw at Worlds, then you must compete Raw (Bare Knees) at Nationals.
  • Raw at WPC Worlds means bare knees. Sleeves are NOT permitted in Raw division at WPC Worlds.
  • We are allowed a maximum of 3 lifters per age group/weight class/category, so there is plenty of space for a large team.
  • A team uniform will be supplied to the lifters.
